Edmundo Vidal is Principal Trombone of the Spanish National Orchestra and Chief Conductor of the “Cercle Musical Primitiva d’Albaida”.
Graduated with maximum distinction, Edmundo Vidal has more than 15 years of symphonic experience since his time at Jonde, at Spanish National Orchestra and as a guest in many Spanish orchestras.
He has toured Japan, China, Oman, Mexico and all Europe, and has worked with great conductors like Semyon Bychkov, Fabio Luisi, Gustavo Dudamel, Sir Neville Marriner or Christoph Eschenbach.
He had worked as professor at the University “Francisco de Vitoria” and Higher Education Center “Progreso Musical” and at the Conservatories of Avila and Palencia.
Edmundo Vidal was trained as conductor by Miguel Romea and Andrés Salado. He has conducted to the Spanish National Orchestra, Verum Symphonic, Opus 23 Orchestra, “Primitiva de Líria” Young Band or Colmenar Viejo Symphonic, wich was Chief Conductor since 2014 until 2018. Also, he has work with Lynbrook/Montevista Hight School Band in California, USA, Zaragoza OST Young Orchestra and the Scotch College Orchestra in Merlbourne, Australia. He has accompanied to the Luxembourgish pianist Francesco Tristano, to the trumpetist Adán Delgado and trombonist Rubén Toribio. He worked as assistant of David Afkham, Chief Conductor of Spanish National Orchestra, with Arnold Schoenberg “Gurre-Lieder”.
Most inmediate commitments lead him to conduct Mozart’s Requiem with Caixa Ontinyent Symphony and Beethoven 4rt and severals world premiers with an important spanish orchestra.
